Rivera Sarovar Portico Ahmedabad

The buffet dinner had a pleasing range of dishes and flavors, and the breakfast selection was adequate for getting the day started. I spent two nights at Sarovar Portico Rivera and found the rooms clean, roomy, and comfortable. The location made it easy to get around the area. Staff were friendly and ready to help, and the restaurant manager was welcoming and courteous. I'd consider staying again.

The riverfront view from the room was a highlight, and the location is great. My room was small but fine for a solo business traveller; I can't speak for the other rooms. Restaurant staff were very friendly and remembered my name and preferences. Reception could be warmer. During my four-day stay, they asked me three times about checkout when I left for work in the morning, even though I assume it was already in their system. It was comfortable and works for business trips, but compared with other places I've stayed for work, it could be better.

A peaceful place with good food, including Gujarati dishes and other options. The room was well maintained and had the necessities, and room service was quick and polite. I'd recommend it for a solo woman traveller looking for safety and security.

We used to choose Rivera for every company visit because its service had been the best, but we've stopped going now. I stayed this time only because the better hotels were booked. The reception and restaurant staff were rude and showed no courtesy or hospitality training. Reception manager Atul was the rudest of them all, with no sense of how to speak to people and no human behaviour. The food has gone downhill too. When I gave feedback, staff wouldn't accept it and argued that “that's just how it is.” Pathetic service, staff, and behaviour. Don't choose this hotel if you have better options.
