Hill Resort Alibaug

The breakfast package only covers one meal, with one cup of tea and one plate of a fixed breakfast per person. Anything extra, even something basic, costs more, and that wasn't made clear in advance. Drinking water also isn't provided free. They don't keep regular drinking water available, so you're left buying bottled water from them. The Wi-Fi never worked, and after repeated complaints staff only told us to call the owner, as if they couldn't address it themselves. The pool has no proper walking path, and small stones around it hurt badly if you're barefoot. The AC didn't cool the room properly, even on power chill mode. The TV setup was frustrating too. There were no batteries for the TV remote, so we were expected to take them from the AC remote. Even then, the TV remote kept cutting out while changing channels. You can't use YouTube or other smart features without working Wi-Fi. Between these problems with facilities, maintenance, and clear information, I wouldn't recommend Hill Resort unless they seriously address them.

The food was tasty and the service quick and smooth. Hill Resort in Alibaug was very clean, and the staff welcomed us warmly with drinks after our journey. It was a peaceful, relaxing stay and I'd visit again. My only suggestion is to review the food prices, which felt a bit high.

At Hill Resort Nagaon-Alibag, the fish was stale, smelled bad, and seemed to have been frozen for a long time. It was also poorly cooked and not fried properly. When we booked, they promised Surmai, Paplet, and Prawns for lunch and dinner, but what we were served was very cheap fish. After lunch, we complained to the owner, said we wouldn't have dinner, and asked for the dinner charges we'd already paid at check-in to be refunded, as per his terms and conditions. He agreed to return Rs.7000 for 18 people, but said to wait two days because of an account issue. When we called after two days, he said the payment would come that day. Despite many follow-ups, we still haven't received the refund, and now he doesn't answer calls. False promises, terrible food, and an unresolved refund. Not recommended at all.

A lovely place for a relaxing break. We especially liked the clean, refreshing pool, and the rooms were cozy and very well maintained.
