We had our wedding at Coco Mango Farm in Alibagh on May 2nd, 2024, and the event was highly disappointing. The owner made lots of promises at our initial meeting, but very few were delivered. Guests were told they’d get a welcome drink on arrival, but it came an hour later, only after many complaints. The stage design was outdated compared with what we’d been shown, and without floral decor it looked very basic. Dinner was poorly handled. The seating area was badly lit, guests waited in line, and the buffet ran out within minutes. Even after a long wait with empty plates, it wasn’t replenished in time, leaving many people without food. Food preparation and service were significant problems. There were basic amenity issues as well. The changing rooms had no soap, the lighting connections weren’t proper, and the ceiling fans were old and had to be started manually, like something from the 1990s. Washrooms were subpar, with water pressure problems in the jet sprays. The gap between what was promised and what actually happened was stark. I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider booking events here.

Coco Mango was peaceful, surrounded by greenery, coconut trees, and mango trees, which is how it got its name. We spent two days there and had a great stay. The owner was genuine and cooperative, doing what he could to make us comfortable. The staff were cooperative too, the room was quite decent, and breakfast and dinner were the best. We also had a bonfire, which was helpful in the cold weather.

The room cleaning service was good, which is why I’ve given two stars. Otherwise, our two-night family visit to COCO MANGO was not a good experience. There were lots of mosquitoes around the coconut trees, and despite asking many times, we weren’t given a mosquito liquid machine. At night it felt scary, and there was no security. The hotel had just reopened after the rainy season, so there was no staff around. The intercom worked, but nobody picked up, even after about ten calls, so we had to use our mobiles. There was no wardrobe, balcony, or place to hang washed clothes, and the set-top box didn’t work. We didn’t order lunch or dinner at the hotel because we were usually out sightseeing, so I can’t comment on the food. I’d been excited by the photos after getting the booking confirmation, but the place wasn’t as exciting as they made it look, and I was very disappointed when we arrived. It wasn’t a good place to visit with family.

The owner’s response was basically, “Stay if you want, or cancel the booking.” The room was terrible: the toilet flush didn’t work, the bedsheet was in awful condition, and the pillows looked like they’d never been washed. There wasn’t a TV in any room. Don’t be fooled by the pictures, the reality is different. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

There’s a huge open space with mango 🌲 and coconut trees, along with structures meant for weddings, birthdays, and engagements. This seems better suited to wedding ceremonies than overnight stays, since it has only two or three rooms. It’s three and a half kilometres from main Alibag City. The nearby beaches are Varsoli and Chalmala. It might be enjoyable in monsoon, given its proximity to the river and the old bridge from the British Era.
