Ginger Chandigarh, Zirakpur

The stay was comfortable, affordable, and stress free, and we’d gladly recommend this Ginger property in Zirakpur. We stopped here during a long road trip and liked the modern, pleasant interiors. Nearby food spots, cafés, and shopping areas made it easy to step out and relax. We arrived around 6:00 PM. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and Shahiba at reception kindly let us check out around 1:30 PM after we asked for a late checkout. After a tiring drive, we really appreciated that. Our room was clean, cosy, and a decent size. Temperature control was especially helpful since we’d come from outside Chandigarh and weren’t used to the cold weather. There’s also an AC, which I imagine would be useful in summer. Breakfast runs from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. We got there around 10:15 AM, close to closing, but Lakshmi and the other staff were courteous and made sure we were served properly.

We found the stay uncomfortable and very disappointing. From check in, the service felt indifferent. We called reception 5-6 times without getting a proper response or solution, and staff we approached directly didn’t help either. Housekeeping and guest support were lacking, and there weren’t any laundry bags. The room had no basic toiletries, not even body wash or shampoo, and water wasn’t properly available in the washroom, which made things inconvenient and unhygienic. The hotel also lacked basic amenities and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend it for families. This was our worst hotel experience in Chandigarh, and Ginger Hotel needs to improve its amenities, staff training, and customer service.

Mr. Sushanth and Ms.Sahiba made me feel welcome with their warm smiles, prompt help, and attention to detail. Both were polite and professional, and their hospitality made the stay smooth and pleasant. Ginger Hotel, Zirakpur was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and I had a wonderful visit. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.
