Hotel Cafe 21 by OYO Rooms

The staff were good, which is the only reason for the one star. Everything else was awful for the money: the food was horrible, the walls were damp, and the washrooms were so tiny you couldn't even stand properly. There were no slippers or AC remote in the rooms, and cleanliness was poor even during the Corona period. Imagine what normal days are like.

The staff put pressure on travellers to give a 5-star rating, which is a bad situation. The toilet pane is damaged, and the place needs to be cleaner. I wouldn't recommend it for families.

The OYO listing showed 1200 after discount, which was far too much for what you get. I'd avoid it with family. The place we ended up in was another OYO 49193, maybe owned by the same person, but its quality was well below standard, with dirty, smelly stairs and rooms that had subpar facilities. See my other Google review of OYO 49193 for more details. Finding the hotel was a whole ordeal too. Google Maps had the wrong location, and construction meant it took us about 30 minutes to locate it. The staff didn't help. Once we arrived, a staff member told us to follow him to a different hotel. Since it was already late, we didn't argue and just went along with it. It was a unique experience, and a first for me.

The washroom light and water heater both failed, and the food they brought us wasn't up to standard. The rooms felt cramped for the comparatively high prices. I had a very bad stay, and wouldn't choose this place again.
