FabExpress Royal Residency Suites

The manager was very nice and managed to book us an Etios at the last minute for our trip from Amritsar to Manali. The hotel is about 500m from the railway station, with good connections to other parts of the city. Our family room was spacious and had the amenities we needed, and the property was clean with spotless linen. Kundan Dhaba is right next door, serving delicious kulchas, sweets, and lassi. The one letdown was breakfast, which was limited to aloo paratha and tea or coffee.

There were only 2-3 people handling everything at the hotel, and housekeeping wasn’t properly staffed. Our room was far too small, and the washroom hadn’t been cleaned well. The food was very bad too. I’d pay more and stay somewhere better, not here.

There’s plenty to like here: the food is tasty, the staff are great, and it’s near the railway station and tourist spots. I’m a painting lover, so the paintings in the room really caught my eye. The owner was a good guy, the room service person did a good job, and the girl at reception made check-in smooth and easy. This hotel made the trip better, and I’ll visit again and recommend it to friends. Thanks to everyone.

When I called before the trip, they said breakfast would be a buffet, but it turned out to be just potato paratha with some soil in it, and it wasn’t cooked properly. They also served bread and butter with far too much butter. If you want lunch or dinner in your room after a tiring day, the food is pathetic. Check that the geezer works in your room, and there’s no kettle for hot water, especially useful for a child. Please don’t book this hotel.
