Hotel Axis Inn

I stayed for two days and had a good experience. The staff were helpful and brought us what we asked for. On the second day we requested regular water, but they gave us mineral water at no extra charge.

The location was handy, right opposite the bus stand, and the aloo paratha at breakfast was good. The rest was a waste of money. The AC was useless, the Wi-Fi wouldn't connect, the bed and sheets were torn, and the towel and blanket were very dirty. The toilet was yellow instead of white, and the geyser didn't work. The manager kept lying about the facilities. When I complained, he told me to take it up with OYO. The service was very poor. This place is for people booking through OYO.

The main plus is the location. Golden Temple, Jallianwala bagh, and Hall Bazar are all about a 10-minute walk away. If you need a cab, the hotel can arrange one, but at a high price. We booked online based on the Oyo rooms photos, and the real rooms were completely different in quality, including the beds and amenities. After we raised it, the person at reception switched our room, but the new one had no shower. Ambience: 3/5, amenities: 2/5, staff: 3/5. Book online and be ready for surprises.

They charged us for an extra bed, but all we got was a hard mattress on the floor. The rooms were much smaller than advertised and had no windows. The geyser was broken when we arrived, so we waited a long time for it to be fixed. Towels were dirty and torn, with what looked like grease and blood stains. Management was rude when we complained and smirked while telling us to take it up with the booking agency.
