Hotel God Gift

The location is great, and the staff were terrific about trying to meet every need. The room was average, though, and the bed uncomfortable. The shower was very small, but it was the best one I used during my stay in India. I’d only recommend this place if you want a budget hotel near the Golden Temple.

We searched all night for a family hotel and couldn’t find one until we arrived at Hotel God Gift. It felt like a gift, as we finally found a family atmosphere. The staff were helpful and honest with guests, and all kinds of facilities were available. Families visiting the Golden Temple should choose this hotel. Whenever I come to Amritsar, I’ll stay at Hotel God Gift.

If you’re visiting to explore Amritsar rather than looking for luxury accommodation, this is a good budget option. I booked through Oyo. The location is very good, just behind Jallianwala Bagh and opposite the Golden Temple. The staff were cooperative and behaved well, but service was slow and the bedsheet was a little dirty. Those are why I’m not giving it five stars.

I booked in a hurry for an overnight stay near Amritsar Golden Temple after reading the reviews, and wasn’t expecting a super-fancy hotel or godlike treatment. Still, I was really impressed with how they looked after guests. The hotel is about 400-500m from the temple, the food is good, and staff answered every question politely. They even stored our luggage at no extra cost while we went back to the Golden Temple, shopped, had dinner, and waited for our late-night flight. I’d definitely suggest fellow citizens book here without hesitation. The one issue is that the rooms were a little dirty. I found human hair under both the pillow and blanket, so they should take care of that. It could be one of the best budget hotels.
