Country Club De Goa

The friendliest part of our stay was the staff, who were very helpful. The rooms are large, almost like studio apartments, with hot and cold water all day and showers in the bathrooms. There’s a good pool with a section for small kids, and it was fun spending time there. The property has the basic amenities and an in-house kitchen serving food in the dining area, though the food is a bit expensive. My room was missing the AC remote, but we still managed to use it. We had a good experience overall.

I’ve stayed here four times, and it used to be a very nice resort. The standards seem to have slipped: the mini fridge, microwave, and pantry that used to be in the rooms are gone, the gym has been turned into a room, and the restaurant is no longer operating in its original place. The pool isn’t well maintained either. The greenery and location are still good.

I remembered this place as beautiful from a visit 10 years ago, so the condition now was a real disappointment. The rooms were very dirty and poorly maintained, with scribbles on the walls, stains on the curtains and walls, and bad drainage in the bathroom. The beds and sheets were okay. They started painting and cleaning rooms on the day I checked out. A place should be maintained throughout the year, not just in December. One of the worst-maintained Country Club properties.

The room itself was excellent, with good facilities, and the pool was good too. That’s where the positives end for me. The food was average, portions were very small for the high prices, and our meals took 40-50 minutes to arrive. Housekeeping was also very slow. The table tennis board, chess, and carrom boards were all broken, and the amenity hours weren’t planned well: the pool, breakfast, and gym all start at 8 AM. My two stars are for the room. I wouldn’t recommend booking here.
