Mariners Bay Beach Resort Arambol Hotel

We went with friends and a 3-year-old child, but the staff refused our booking and weren’t cooperative. It’s a shady, opportunistic establishment, and they’ll deny bookings made through Agoda or other online sites. Ocean edge is nearby and seems to be managed by the same people. Don’t waste your money or petrol on this place. I’d suggest lotus sutra resort (arambol) instead, or royal heritage resort (calungute), where they’re much more cooperative, or Alcove resort for an amazing see view. Agoda and booking.com should stop listing this property.

We arrived with my wife and our 2-year-old daughter, only to be told they had no booking under our name, despite my confirmed Agoda.com reservation. The staff refused to accept it and offered no explanation or help. We were left without a place to stay, which was incredibly stressful with a small child. The way they treated us felt like they were fooling people. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I strongly advise others to avoid this property.

I booked online through Agoda on 30th June for 2nd July. After travelling about 150 kms from South Goa to North Goa in heavy rain, we reached the hotel and they said the booking was fake and they didn’t have the room. I was shocked. They showed little interest in helping or even speaking with us. The person at reception, whether staff or owner, was very rude. I offered to make a deal directly and contact Agoda afterwards, since I was with my wife and 4-year-old daughter and we’d been travelling for six hours. People at this property are just "MONEY GREEDY DOGS". Please don’t book MARINES BAY BEACH RESORT or OCEANO RESORT, as both properties have the same staff and owner. The name is misleading too: it isn’t on the beach, it’s 500m away, with no beach view. For your safety, don’t book either place.

The room was well equipped, the service was excellent, and the receptionists and rest of the staff were friendly and knew how to serve customers. From the balcony we could see the sea and feel the cool breeze. Our room’s location was just right, and the resort was a quiet, comfortable place to relax, set by a great beach. The grounds and rooms were very clean, the food was lovely, and the beach was clean and quiet too. We also liked the restaurants, facilities, and activities for kids. The spa staff were caring, the breakfast staff were helpful, and Salute was tasty. All in all, a good experience.
