Hotel Aurangabad Regency

Hotel Royal Regency worked well for a short stay, with simple, clean, comfortable rooms and the basic amenities. The staff were polite and cooperative, and room service and front desk support were satisfactory. Cleanliness was maintained fairly well in the rooms and common areas. Being close to the railway station was a big help, especially for travelers with an early train or late arrival. It’s budget friendly and decent value for the location and facilities, and the setup suits solo travelers as well as families. A good option for a short visit.

I was happy with my stay. The rooms were clean, the staff polite, and breakfast was tasty. There were rats and cockroaches sometimes, but that didn’t change my impression much. I was satisfied overall.

Do not book rooms here. I think the owners are cheats and scammers. I reserved two rooms through Agoda for December 30, 2025, booking 40 days ahead for my family. After seeing reviews that mentioned refused check-ins and bookings being denied, I contacted the property. The owner, Atif, answered and confirmed the reservation, saying I could come on the booked date, so I had no reason to doubt it. I arrived at 11:40 PM with my wife, my 54-year-old mother, and my children, aged 4 and 2. At the counter, I showed the Agoda booking, but was told there was no reservation under my name. I was shocked and explained that I had booked two rooms and confirmed it with Atif. The staff member said they did not accept Agoda bookings and were sold out. I said they couldn’t deny check-in after confirming well in advance, and if they were sold out, the booking should not have gone through. The two rooms had cost me 1500. A staff member told me our rooms had been given to another customer for 2500 per room. It seems they take online bookings, then deny them on arrival with silly reasons and charge customers double or triple when they’re vulnerable in an unfamiliar place. I had to get one room at another hotel for 2000 a night, just to sleep and bathe before checking out at 6 AM.

For a low budget, this is a better option. I didn't expect such a clean room or such cooperative staff. The rooms were really good and the experience was good overall.
