Kanthi Resorts Badami

We were three friends on a bike road trip through Hampi-Badami, and the resort staff were incredibly polite and hospitable. The rooms were great and the food delicious. We arrived during January 26th and, since we were away from home, expected to miss the Republic Day festivities. Instead, the resort held a flag hoisting ceremony. Taking part in that proud moment made the trip special and reminded us that you don't have to be in your hometown to celebrate.

The rooms are impressively spacious, but the service and cleanliness need serious work. The restaurant food was good, though the sofas had visible stains and looked dirty. Our floor felt grimy underfoot, and asking for it to be cleaned the next day made no difference. The washroom lights also stayed broken throughout our two-night stay, even after we complained. After a long journey on arrival day, we ordered tea and were first asked to wait 15-20 minutes. About half an hour later, they called to ask if coffee would do because there was no milk for tea. We agreed, but were then told to make it ourselves with the milk and coffee powder left in the room. That felt disappointing and unprofessional for a hotel.

The staff were very polite and helpful, and the rooms are spacious, furnished, and neat and clean. The food is another highlight, with excellent cuisine and a breakfast spread offering plenty of tasty options. Kanthi Resorts, Bagalkot, is well placed for travelers visiting Badami, Aihole, Pattadkal, and Humpi, with Badami nearby. There are 60 rooms, and the property is suited to destination weddings and conferences. A comfortable stay with good hospitality.

The food was good, and the restaurant had a pleasant ambience and service. But several amenities weren't available: the swimming pool remained closed after the manager said it would open the next morning, and the water games and spa were also out of operation. The rooms are spacious, but fell short of what I expected for the price. Getting room service was difficult because the landline didn't work, so I had to go to reception each time. There was no menu card in the room, either. I had to fetch one from the restaurant before ordering. I'd recommend checking which amenities are available before booking.
