Aloft Bengaluru Whitefield

Aloft Bengaluru Whitefield was a great base for visiting the area, and I’d happily recommend it. My room was spacious and very clean, the service was excellent, and the location worked perfectly.

The rooms are decent, but the service is nowhere near what I expect from a Marriott, perhaps a tenth of the usual quality. If that name is why you’re considering booking, think again. They charged my card twice, then left me chasing a refund with endless calls and empty promises for 15 days. Would I stay again? Nope.

I stayed four nights as an Ambassador Elite Member and couldn’t get hot water for a single shower. I escalated repeatedly and even got moved to an upgraded room, but the problem continued throughout. I ended up paying Rs 1500 to use a gym near ITPL for a shower each day. No one resolved the issue or offered any service recovery during my stay. It took three days of escalation to speak with a manager. At 8:30 AM, reception said there was no duty manager, but one appeared when I asked for a refund. The receptionists seemed inexperienced with Marriott properties, and nobody acknowledged my status. Checkout also meant standing at the counter for 15 minutes. Laundry was slow, too, with one set of clothes arriving two days later. And although the signs said dining was open until 11 PM, there were no dining options after 10:30 PM. Poor even by the Aloft brand’s low standards, and not worth the price. Avoid at all costs.

I can’t speak to the hotel’s rooms or other services, but avoid it for corporate events. I attended an outdoor office party here, and the management and food made it a disaster. They had no crowd control, and the way food service was handled felt disrespectful. Employees had to bunch around the counters like it was a chaotic charity drive, not a professional party. The food wasn’t very good either, which embarrassed everyone. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a professional gathering.
