BLR Pods

I spent two months at BLR Pods and enjoyed my stay. It felt peaceful and safe, and the place was consistently clean, hygienic, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and quick to help. Vikram at reception deserves a mention. He was polite and helpful with everyone, and got along well with the guests. I'd recommend BLR Pods to anyone after a comfortable, budget-friendly stay in Bangalore.

The location is the main thing this place has going for it, since it's very close to the offices. But after nearly two years staying in these pods, I don't think the current rate matches their condition. I used to pay around ₹350-₹400, and it's now nearly ₹600 a night. At about ₹700, a triple-sharing PG seems to offer better value overall. The pods aren't soundproof, so loud phone conversations from nearby guests are common and affect comfort. Bathroom upkeep has also got worse: the waterless urinals are often clogged and smell very unpleasant. I raised the price with the owner last year and was told it would come down. Instead, it's gone up to around ₹600 per night.

The pods are quite compact, with little room to move around, so lots of luggage would be awkward. You can also hear other guests at times, and it wouldn't suit me for a long stay or if I wanted open space. For a short trip, layover, or solo stay, though, BLR Pods worked well and felt like a neat, budget-friendly option. The pods were clean and well maintained, and there was good privacy for a shared setup. The location was convenient for a quick trip, check-in was smooth, and the staff were helpful. Lockers are available for luggage. If you're staying overnight and plan to bathe, they'll provide a towel.

The bathroom smelled bad and wasn't clean, and people talking nearby could be heard right inside the pod, enough to disturb sleep. For ₹705 a day, it also felt a little pricey for a box-style stay. About ₹300 more could get you a small private room. Still, I liked the simple pod idea and the lighting. The full AC worked well, and I slept comfortably. It's a different concept, and the team made a good try of it.
