Chairman's Resort

The rain and fresh air made for a lovely welcome to Bangalore, but the stay at Chairman’s Resort, Bangalore was a letdown. At check-in, we got keys and little guidance, with no real assistance or warmth from the front desk. It felt transactional. The room was cramped, and the washroom seemed tired and neglected. There were bugs, troublesome taps, and haphazard-looking tiles. The bedding had stains, and the gym was dim, dingy, and so crowded with machines that getting around felt like an obstacle course. I also booked a massage offered through the property. Instead of relaxing, I got repeated upselling calls pushing for a male masseur, even though I’d clearly asked otherwise. Late-night messages followed, and I eventually had to block them. That ruined any peace of mind. Dinner wasn’t much better: the butter paneer masala lacked salt, the dal makhani tasted too much like dessert, and the naan had to carry the meal. Basic dental and shaving kits were available only after asking and waiting, and even then expectations had to stay low. For the price, the reality didn’t match the glossy online pictures. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who cares about cleanliness, comfort, and honest representation. The rain was the only thing that lived up to its promise.

The food at my seemantha function last year was among the worst I’ve had. It ruined the whole event for me.

That was the dirtiest swimming pool I’ve ever visited. The pool was murky, so I couldn’t open my eyes underwater and could barely see anything. The washrooms and changing rooms were filthy and unhygienic too. When I asked a staff member why the washrooms were dirty, he just replied, “aisa he hain.” The staff were arrogant. I wouldn’t go back or recommend it. They should learn from 91 sporting how to maintain a facility and treat customers.

It’s a little faded, but Chairman's Club is still a great place to stay. The facilities are well presented, and the staff are excellent. The restaurant is a good venue with plenty of options for different tastes.
