Comet Hotels by OYO Rooms

We paid an exorbitant price for our special occasion and expected professionalism and care. Instead, Comet Hotel failed to provide a satisfactory experience. I strongly advise against choosing Comet Hotel for an important event. It was a nightmarish evening, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The banquet hall wasn't the elegant, well-kept space I'd expected. Its decor was outdated, and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, giving the impression that the venue didn't prioritize a pleasant atmosphere. Service was just as bad: waitstaff seemed untrained and overwhelmed, drinks and food took a long time, and guests complained that orders came wrong or cold. The staff seemed understaffed, so nobody was getting enough attention. The lack of organization, cleanliness, and decent service made this a complete disaster, one of the worst decisions we've made.

No outside food was allowed, even though the booking policy said it was. The online price also didn't make clear how Classic and Superior rooms differed, and there's nothing outside the hotel. The property was overpriced. Never stay here. This was my worst experience, on 25/01/2024. The room itself was good, but the lights didn't work. The person in charge wasn't accommodating and told me to change hotels or contact customer care. I waited an hour for a solution, and they wouldn't move me to a proper room matching what I'd paid for. The staff were okay, but they themselves said the hotel wasn't good and things just operated that way, and that I should shift if I could. The receptionist or manager was uncivilized.

It's right on the Outer Ring Road, so getting there is easy, and the place has a nice look. The rooms are good for the price, staff are very polite, and the food in the restaurant is tasty and reasonably priced. Room cleaning was good too. Service is a little slow, though.

I stayed three nights and they never gave me a receipt. They said they'd email my bill when I asked, but it never arrived. Their attitude felt fraudulent and unprofessional, and I can't call it good business ethics. The bed linen and blanket weren't clean. I had no other option, so I stayed. I asked them to change the laundry, but they said none was available. They did change it on the second day, but the replacement was still stained. They don't allow outside food in the room. On the first night I ordered plain rice and chicken curry from their hotel and was charged 500 rupees, though outside it costs only 120-140 rupees. The next morning, a cup of hot milk and a boiled egg cost me 178 rupees. Their service is too bad.
