Fabhotel Champion Residency

There was a cockroach, and the room wasn't good. The bedsheet hadn't been washed. They didn't provide soap, a towel, or a bottle of water.

I had to pay the full booking amount at check-in, and there was no car parking. The place has no in-house restaurant either. They order food from a nearby restaurant about 100 mts away. The description gets a lot wrong: there's no complimentary mineral water, and you have to collect room water yourself from the dispenser on the 5th floor. The stairs are blocked at the 1st floor, so the elevator is the only way up or down. The linen was dirty and torn. Room cleaning only happens once in 24 hours, and I had to remind them several times. Wi-Fi was so bad I used my mobile hotspot. You can't make outside calls from the room phone, and people outside can't reach you on it either. Reception answered my calls only about 25% of the time.

We paid online for a business trip, but the hotel refused to give us a room, saying they were full. The receptionist was rude and said people often book and don't turn up, so they sell those rooms locally. I raised the issue with customer care right there and was promised a refund. A week later, after I emailed them, they replied that their investigation showed I'd left because I wouldn't pay extra, so a refund didn't apply. It was a horrible experience. After I posted this review, they refunded the amount.

The deluxe room's TV, AC, and intercom weren't working, so I moved to a smaller room and got no money back. Breakfast was supposed to be complimentary, but it came on a wet plate without a spoon. The tea was in a polythene pouch. Luckily, they gave me a cup. People should be treated like people, but I can't expect that from the folks at this place. I'm sure Fabhotels group doesn't care as long as money keeps coming in.
