The lift was out of order, despite being listed as available, and this caused the biggest problem for me. It didn't look like a recent breakdown: maintenance signs were up and things were left in front of it on every floor. Anyone booking for elderly parents would have a hard time getting up three flights of stairs. The room itself smelled unpleasant. Its walls were dirty, the TV was loose and coming away from the wall, and turning on the AC left the floor sticky. There was no soap or shampoo, the drinking glasses were dusty, and the bathroom jet spray barely worked because the water pressure was so low. I gave one star only because the hotel was relatively inexpensive. I wasn't satisfied with the stay, and management should improve cleanliness and basic amenities and give guests accurate information.

I couldn't bring myself to sit on the bed in the room we were given. The washroom was disgusting, as the pictures show. Management said they'd send room service to clean it, but nobody came. They didn't even ask about our experience as we were leaving. Please don't stay here.

The rooms at Octave studio were comfortable enough, though they weren't the best. The location was excellent and convenient, and the service was outstanding. Mr. Johnson was especially helpful during our stay. It was a decent visit and worth four stars.

The reception staff were excellent, and Raj was especially kind and supportive. Housekeeping was very good too. The rooms and washrooms were clean, and I had a really comfortable stay. I'll come back next time.

The room had a bad smell and felt claustrophobic because the windows wouldn't open. Room service wasn't available. The AC didn't work, and the fan ran very slowly with no way to change its speed. The toilet flush and jet spray were also broken.
