OYO 14430 Sunshine Grand

The WiFi was the only good thing about this stay. I've stayed with OYO for five years and never had a worse experience. The room and linen were dirty, the bathroom was filthy, and the jet spray leaked. The AC sometimes made horrible noises and leaked too, but nobody responded when I complained. There was no proper room service. For food, they gave me a restaurant number so I could order and pay directly, and even the tea was brought from outside in polythene bags. A huge pile of garbage sat just outside the room. When I asked for it to be cleaned, they only said it would be done later. The staff seemed unprofessional and rowdy. I don't expect five-star service from a budget hotel, but I've had better service and amenities from OYO. This place felt like a dirty bus stand side hotel, and it was simply disappointing.

The bedsheets had stains and the place wasn't clean. At checkout, Oyo staff asked me for a five-star review, which felt very unethical. I had the same experience with Oyo 13043 sree sai suites, both with cleanliness and being asked for a review. I think Oyo management has encouraged this habit, and standards of cleanliness have slipped too. Oyo isn't like it used to be.

The rooms were smoky and smelly, and there was no lift. I booked two 3x rooms for six people in the app, but after we arrived they said I'd booked 2x. Even the confirmation email said two rooms for six people. After I paid the full amount, the app showed 500 still due, and said upgrading to 3x would cost another 2k. They asked me to pay again even after I explained I'd already paid on Oyo. I'd give zero stars if I could. I'll never book on Oyo again.

For 1.1k, I could have found a better deal or chosen the Oyo townhouse. I booked after seeing the photos on Oyo's website, but this was a horrible stay and I wouldn't recommend the place. The property is old, and the AC wasn't working properly. The television didn't work right either. The bedspread and blankets were covered in stains, and the old pillows had no covers. The staff were untrained and showed no sense of hospitality or service. Oyo really needs to look into properties like this and improve them.
