It feels like home here. The staff are very good, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is huge. It’s peaceful, comfortable, and budget friendly, with nobody coming in to disturb you. Doctors from manipal hospital, as well as people from companies, colleges, parents, and couples, seem to prefer the place. It’s comfortable for everyone. I stayed for four days and had a lot of problems. The room was unhygienic, the flush didn’t work properly, and the water supply was unreliable. At night I felt as though someone was watching me. The door wasn’t secure and its lock seemed broken, while the bathroom window was open and someone could see in or enter through it. The hotel felt unsafe.

The hotel is good, but the owner is great. He’s humble and puts customers first. I called at 11:30 pm about a problem with the wash basin water, even though he usually goes home by 10 pm. Within five minutes he arrived with a plumber, and they had it fixed by midnight.

The rooms are clean and presentable, and when we asked for an extra mattress and towels, they were arranged right away. Wi-Fi was fast and there were no power cuts. You can also dine in and choose from a good set menu. During the pandemic, Ira residency made sure rooms were thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, which helped when trusting hotels and restaurants felt difficult. It’s a welcoming place with friendly staff available 24/7. The service has never disappointed me across several visits. It’s a growing business run by young people, so I expect something new and improved each time. The location is convenient for getting around the city, yet away from the bustle and still well connected.
