The Club

The room was cozy and clean, and the place was quiet during my two-day stay. Breakfast in the dining area was mostly South Indian, and manager Wilson was polite and cordial. I didn't like that housekeeping came in and cleaned while I was out without telling me first. Still, it's a nice place, very close to the metro station.

The poolside venue is a good place for a party, but we had a poor experience at the birthday event I arranged for around 300 people. Food ran short soon after dining began, and once a dish was gone there was no one ready to refill it. The server had to go all the way back to the kitchen, leaving the crowd waiting. With that many guests, they should have set up two serving counters. Food quality wasn't great, service was poor, and staff weren't coordinated. For the prices charged, we could have found better options.

The food, setting, and location were all great, but rats were actually running around the swimming pool. I can't see how a premium club can operate in those conditions, and it made it impossible to enjoy the visit. The waiter was somewhat condescending, which I could partly understand since we weren't dressed very well.

The poolside restaurant has a nice atmosphere, though frequent traffic honking on Mysuru road nearby takes away from it. Food is above average but the menu choices are limited, as is the drinks list. Restaurant staff seemed mostly absent-minded. Breakfast was below average, and the waiters seemed uninterested; we waited 20 minutes for tea because it had to come from a distant kitchen. Prices are reasonable. The rooms are dingy and poorly ventilated, and would be a nightmare for a customer with a disability. The shower and toilet facilities also need improvement.
