I travel a lot and was visiting from Thailand. After booking for 12 days, I found that my bed had been given to someone else that evening. I'd left my laptop charger plugged into the socket above the bed, and it was lost. The manager and staff were rude, and didn't even offer to replace the bed. I wouldn't recommend staying here to local Indians or foreigners visiting India. I've tried to be flexible, but these problems have been going on since last August. They don't let guests order outside food or eat in the hostel's rooftop common area, apparently to push their expensive food stall. Cockroaches run around the kitchen and rooms (photo attached). They object to outsiders, but their own staff bring people in, and the rules don't seem to apply to them. There's no daily cleaning, even after asking repeatedly. The menu is extremely overpriced, and the ban on outside food leaves no affordable option or food you actually like. There was an incident here where a woman was molested, which is a serious concern for women's safety. The local staff are biased towards South Indians, and North Indians are treated very poorly and don't get the service they deserve, despite paying market-rate prices. The place smells of cigarettes and weed everywhere, so if you're a non-smoker, it isn't for you.

The staff made this stay feel welcoming from the start. Everyone was attentive and helpful, and the whole team treated me warmly. The hotel itself was clean, professionally run, and the facilities were kept in good shape. I had a very comfortable, enjoyable visit and would gladly recommend The Social Stays Hotel.

The location is awesome, and the shared spaces have a lively, sociable feel. My dorm was dark and cool, the bed was clean, and I slept without any trouble. The staff were lovely, especially Ram, whose attention and way with people really stood out. The food was average but consistently prepared and felt safe. Congrats to the Social Stays Team on what you’ve built.

The rooftop was a lovely place to unwind, with tasty food bites and really friendly chefs. Mr. Ragul at the front desk deserves a special mention for staying calm and being so helpful. The place is comfortable, well maintained, and has a great feel to it. It works well for a short visit to Bangalore or a longer stay, and I’d recommend it.

I’d happily stay at The Social Stays again. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were consistently friendly and ready to help. The place has a modern, welcoming feel, with clean, comfortable rooms and cozy beds. Its common areas are lively but still nice for relaxing after a long day. Koramangala is a great base here, with cafes, restaurants, and shops all a short walk away. A good choice for either a brief visit or a longer stay in Bengaluru.
