Townhouse Oak Hotel Prime

I came straight here and booked without checking reviews first, unfortunately. The hotel is very unhygienic, with cockroaches everywhere, poor cleanliness, and no proper customer service. The receptionist wasn’t even in uniform. Nothing was provided in the room, so I had to ask for soap and tissue.

The room was neat, clean, and very hygienic, and the staff were soft spoken and good. The FO manager was friendly too. Best customer support and hospitality. Highly recommended.

I booked online at 6 am and got to the room at 6:20 am. Nobody mentioned a charge at check-in, but in the afternoon they demanded 1000 rupees for checking in early and threatened to evict me that evening if I didn’t pay. The booking didn’t show the time, and they used that to demand money. This felt criminal-minded. Don’t book here, find another place.

The area is a big plus. It’s close to the main road, safe and not secluded, with restaurants and all kinds of stores within walking distance. Getting around at night is convenient, and transport is easy to access. Check-in staff were efficient and accommodating. The room was functional for the price, but below standard. Room service was average. It was tidy but only just clean enough. The bathroom needed much more cleaning, especially around the taps and the corners of the shelves, drawers, and room. The sheets and pillows were stained, though staff said they had been changed and cleaned. There was no cupboard door, and cockroaches and bugs were in the drawers beside the head of the bed. Staff sprayed bug spray but didn’t clean up afterward, and it wasn’t enough. If the hotel improved, it could be a very good place to stay. I won’t be back for these reasons.
