Treebo Elmas Grand

My recent stay at Elmas Grand was okay. I can see potential in the property, though parts of the guest experience could be much better. I work in brand consultation, so I tend to notice service, atmosphere, and the overall impression a brand gives. The hygiene was poor enough to make the stay uncomfortable, and the price didn't feel justified. There was a strong unpleasant odor in the room, lifts, and other areas. The bathrooms and bedsheets weren't clean and had a noticeable stench.

Check-in and check-out were smooth, and free WiFi was available on every floor. The rooms were clean, the service was good, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is on a narrow lane in the 7th block, with no proper car parking. Towels and toiletries weren't provided until requested, and there was no kettle or beverages in the room. The fan and AC didn't work at first, though the AC started working after a while. The TV also didn't work properly.

The next morning they changed their story, even though I had specifically told the staff the payment covered 2 days and they said yes. They said the 1500 was for one day only, claiming the price was higher because the staff had changed. Are we a money bank for them, with customers charged more whenever staff changes? We booked a couple room for 2 days, asked the price, were told 1500 first, and paid. When I asked why they were saying this after we'd requested 2 days and paid on the first day, they gave that explanation. Trust me, the place isn't even worth 1500. The lady at the counter and the guy who stays there after her behaved very badly. They are totally scam people.
