Hotel Saptarshi

For what Hotel Saptarshi offers, the price feels a little steep for Bankura. My room needed better cleaning and upkeep, and there was no room service while I was there, which was inconvenient. The reception staff could also have been more welcoming and helpful. The stay didn’t quite meet my expectations.

Chef Soumadip Biswas personally handled the arrangements for the reception ceremony, and the food was well prepared with an impressive spread. The management team stayed cooperative and helpful throughout. I had a really good experience at Saptarshi Hotel. It may be the best hotel in town, and it’s rare to find this kind of food and hospitality in Bankura. Highly recommended.

The location was great, the restaurant was superb, and the service members treated us well. But opening the window let in a lot of dust and dirt from the covered balcony, and we ended up with an allergy that affected our health. The washroom toilet wasn’t working properly either, so we had to use a bucket of water to clean it. When we called reception for housekeeping, it took a long time for room service to arrive.

The food was good and room service was great. I had a very good stay at Hotel Saptarshi, though the room maintenance could improve and the hotel as a whole could be kept in better condition.
