Several basics were missing or poorly maintained. There was no water at the bathroom sink, the exhaust fan didn't work, and the bathroom window (Roshandaan) wasn't covered properly, so someone could easily look in from the roof. The drinking water cooler was filthy, leaving bottled mineral water as the option. Breakfast came late, and the dinner spoons and plates were dirty. When I asked for clean ones, they took half an hour and brought the same dirty utensils. I also had to fiddle with the room's inside latch to lock the door. The receptionist was very rude.

The manager was pleasant and listened, and the staff were fine. It's right on the highway, with a better room that had a balcony facing it, and he provided what I requested. But there was noise all night, they seemed reluctant to give me the AC remote and left the unit on low, parking was difficult, and the bathroom wasn't looked after.

The market is close enough to take care of what you need at your own pace. There's plenty of parking, and the restaurant serves good local food for the area. The location is decent too.

The room was in good condition, though it took about 10 minutes after we arrived for them to give it to us. We didn't receive water or an OYO bath kit, and there wasn't a towel in the washroom.

I only went in to use the washroom and found there was no soap. When I asked, he handed me some but said it wasn't public property. I pointed out that, by law, a citizen can ask for a bottle of water and use a washroom, and he replied that this applied only outside the city. Seriously, if you're in a hurry, a hotel like this won't let you in. They let me enter only because I'm a woman, which is ridiculous. How is India supposed to grow like this?
