Hotel Madhuram Palace

The shower sprays all over the bathroom like rain, and the toilet isn’t good. There were cockroaches and bugs in the room, the TV didn’t work, and several other noises kept disturbing us, possibly from a pump or some other electronic device. Tourists would be better off looking for another option.

I booked three nights but left after the first night and moved to a nearby hotel, so I wasted my money. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve had, and even places charging 600 a night offer better facilities. The bedsheets and pillows were stained, there was no hot water in the bathroom, and all the rooms were full of cockroaches. I moved through three different rooms. They provided heating rods, but after 30 minutes a staff member came to take one back to share with other rooms. The TV was just for show and didn’t work. The AC fan speed was fixed, and its remote didn’t work properly. Every bed had a spring mattress with torn sponge, and the springs hurt me.

I came to Bhopal on business and booked two days at Hotel Madhuram Palace for Rs 800 a day with breakfast. I had a pathetic stay, and the room wasn’t cleaned on the second day. The receptionist said the staff member had forgotten. Breakfast still hadn’t arrived by 8.30am. The mattress was cheap and uneven, and it gave me back pain. The toilet was dirty and covered in spider webs, and there were lots of mosquitoes and bed bugs. The staff were very unprofessional and the place wasn’t clean. Even if you’re offered a free room at HOTEL MADHURAM PALACE, I’d advise avoiding it. It’s a complete waste.

The rooms are tiny and terrible, and the bedding was stained with food and who knows what else. The staff were rude and untrained. At one point they told me in Hindi, “Sir, your room lock is broken. Go ahead and leave; your things won’t go anywhere.” Really? I’d never recommend this terrible hotel at any price.
