We’ve been loyal customers for a long time and used to trust this place, which made today’s meal especially upsetting. The food quality seems to be declining. Both the chilli mushroom and chilli chicken tasted horrible, and it seemed like they’d been cooked in the same old, reused oil. Even the dal fry smelled strongly of stale oil, which isn’t acceptable. The staff can confirm how long we’ve been coming here. The chef should be strictly warned and told not to serve food like this. If they don’t take corrective action soon, even regular customers will stop coming.

Dinner with my family was nice, and the live music added a pleasant touch to the ambience. We especially liked the veg Manchurian, fried rice, and kadhai paneer, all flavorful and well prepared. The service, though, was noticeably slow and took away from the meal.

The location is perfect, which is why we chose to eat here while visiting Bhopal, but the meal and service were disappointing. The mutton galouti kebab seemed to be made from ordinary seekh kebab mixture. They don’t seem to know the difference between shami, seekh, and gelouti. The chicken biryani wasn’t made with real long-grain basmati. It was medium-sized, thick rice tossed in chicken curry, with a ton of oil on the plate. The servers weren’t professional either. One was chewing some kind of pan masala while serving us. I reported that to the manager as we left. The menu was long and elaborate, but I’m not sure the kitchen team can prepare all those dishes authentically. If they can’t, they shouldn’t serve something else under the names biryani and gelouti kebab.

My newly renovated room was clean and had basic amenities, with a good view of the lake. The towels were old and only average quality, and the toiletries weren’t good. Renovation work was going on in part of the hotel, so there was noise in my room even at 8 pm. After I asked several times, they managed to stop it.
