The night was horrible, so I'm writing this at length. The bedsheet, pillow and pillow cover had all been used and were very dirty. There was fungus all over the wall behind the bed. One window had no glass and the curtain didn't fix that, so it was extremely cold in December. When I pointed this out again, they said there was nothing they could do. The lift wasn't working either. By 11:45, I realized nothing would change that night, so I decided to manage as best I could. I booked online through OYO and had already paid the full booking amount. When I arrived around 10:30 pm, both hotel staff were drunk and partying near the reception room. They demanded more money, and with no other option at that hour, I paid extra. I don't know what the offline situation is like. The staff were drunk after 10-11 pm, and I wouldn't bring women in my family here. I suggest staying somewhere else. Maybe they'll improve after this review, but I doubt it. It felt like they just want to make money from customers stuck in an emergency, or scam them.

I arrived in Bhopal on 19th December, 2021 and took a cab to this hotel. The driver and I couldn't find it at first. Eventually we got there by going down a very narrow street beside a sewage canal. I was travelling alone, and the surroundings and the hotel felt extremely unsafe. I wouldn't consider it suitable for a traveller. On OYO and other apps, the facade photos show a sign saying Hotel Cherry, which made the place look dependable and led me to book it. In person, all I found was a glass door with a piece of paper taped to it saying "HOTEL CHERRY". The lack of reviews on Google and OYO should have made me question whether the hotel was authentic. I hope this review helps other travellers avoid making the same mistake I did.

The staff were hospitable and responded to requests, but the hotel didn't seem clean or well maintained. The rooms are functional for a quick overnight stop, nothing more. The paintwork and general fix-up need attention.

The app showed beautiful room photos, but my room had only a bed and a very old cupboard, with no table or couch. There was no hot water for a shower either. I regretted booking here. It's a pathetic OYO, and I'd tell people to avoid it unless they want to suffer like I did.

I've always had a nice stay at HOTEL PRIDE RESIDENCY. The rooms are clean, and the staff are supportive. It's the nicest hotel I've visited. Keep up the good work 😊
