Hiriz Hotel Dollar

I stayed here in April and had a pleasant visit. The hotel is right across from Bhuj station, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious, and the washrooms were neat and clean. They also provided tea and coffee sachets and bottled water in the room.

We kept ₹10,000 in the same place we said we did, inside a bag at the bottom of the suitcase. It was stolen, we believe by hotel housekeeping staff. While we were out, six people entered the room at different times, supposedly for housekeeping. The staff took no action and offered no apology. When we asked for written room-entry logs, there weren't any, only verbal accounts of who had gone in. At first we were told just one person had cleaned; after we looked into it, they said two, and when we pressed to check CCTV, we were told six people had entered. I don't understand why a bed-related complaint would require six people to go in. The hotel's response is a lie. We never said the money was kept anywhere else.

The General Manager was kind and professional, and helped us a lot. Reception staff were helpful too. Check-in was smooth, and the food was delicious, especially breakfast. The hotel is very clean and right by the railway station, which made travel convenient.

The team made our three-day stay pleasant. Mr Naren, Champak, Ms Bhanu, Tara and the other boys were polite, smiling, and very good at their jobs. The hotel is comfortable, and the railway station is just a two-minute walk away. The internet was erratic and really poor. The bathroom lights were so dim that shaving was difficult. Food was okay, but the menu had very little choice, and we ate the same things all three days.
