The elderly manager was especially helpful and polite, and room service was quick whenever we needed something. At checkout, two staff members saw us carrying our bags down the stairs, hurried over, and took everything to our car. That kind of care really stood out. Hotel Pearl in Vijayapur is close to Gol Gumbaz, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. A very pleasant stay with great service. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Vijayapur.

Hotel Pearl is handy if you're visiting Sri Gurudatta Mangala Kalyana Mandapa for a wedding, and Gol Gumbaz is only about a 10-minute walk away. It's also close to Vijayapura/Bijapur Railway Station, with an auto ride to the hotel costing about ₹50. Most well-known attractions are walkable or a short auto ride away. I paid around ₹1,400 a night for a non-AC deluxe room for two, and the extra ₹350 they charged for another person who only needed to freshen up seemed reasonable. Service was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you're coming with friends, it may be better to book after you arrive. They sometimes say they don't give rooms to friends, and told us that at first, but once we got there they gave us a room without any issue.

The staff are elderly and very, very helpful, and it made the place feel warm. They charge for a full 24 hours from your check-in time, so there's no 11am checkout rush. The restaurant's mutton dishes were among the best I've had in ages. We ate there twice just to enjoy them again.
