Kyriad Hotel Vijayapura

The location is handy: Gol Gumbaz is within walking distance, the city shopping center is 2km away, and shared autos are easy to find just outside. If you’re driving, only a few cars fit in the front parking. There may be space in the basement too, but I’m not sure. It’s a good budget hotel in Vijayapur, with decent sized rooms and good ventilation. The restaurant and bar serve good quality food. The bed covers and toilet fittings need an upgrade, and upkeep and room cleaning aren’t up to the mark. Noise can be annoying at night when vehicles honk loudly, so the windows should be soundproofed.

For a four-day stay, they provided just one litre of water on day one. The showers didn’t work, and the buckets smelled. The room wasn’t clean even though we booked a month ahead, and I had to call multiple times right after checking in to get the toilet cleaned. This didn’t feel like a 4 Star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it, since there are plenty of better hotels nearby.

I was pleasantly surprised by breakfast after Sahil suggested it at checkout. For ₹250, there were both South Indian and North Indian buffet options, and the food was hygienic and delicious. The mutton biryani at their restaurant, Niyaz, was outstanding too. I stayed one night and the service was excellent. Special thanks to Sahil, who was calm, very polite, and handled customers professionally. I’ll stay here again when I visit.

The room was kept neat, and room service was available. The tariff was reasonable, and it’s easy to get to if you’re driving.
