OYO 29791 Dholra Resort

I couldn't use the room because there was no light and no water in the bathroom, so I had to leave and missed my office meeting. They still charged me the full amount for a two-hour stay. Nobody apologized or offered a refund. The owner even said they could charge for just two minutes after entering the room. I later found out the owner is a criminal. Worst experience I've had.

The room was downstairs, and the cleanliness wasn't up to standard. The sheets were rough and poor quality, and if you're tired from a long drive, the mattresses may not help. You also can't get anything brought to the room, even tea, so you have to go to the restaurant. During my stay, the bathroom lights didn't work, there was no AC remote, and they didn't bring morning tea to the room. What you get seems to depend on luck. If the price is a good deal, it might be okay.

The view of the Sutlej river from the restaurant was lovely. We stopped for a quick lunch on the way to Chandigarh and had freshly prepared Roti and Mix Veg, both good. The place seemed a little old, perhaps more so because it was empty when we visited. Some plates still had soap and grime from earlier use and needed better cleaning. Fine for a quick food stop, though picky diners might want to choose somewhere else.

We arrived late and had no other option, so we spent one night and left in the morning. The food was very bad, the bed was untidy and unhygienic, the toilet flush was dirty, and the TV didn't work. There was no kettle, TV, or any other basic amenity an OYO should provide. You get a bad feeling as soon as you enter. If you're planning to stay in bilaspur, avoid this place if you can. We didn't want to stay, but had no choice that night.
