Everything was brilliant at Madpackers Hostel. The rooms were very clean, the facilities were great, and the location made it easy to get around. Chokling Monastery is nearby, about 500 meters away. Special mention to Aman bhaiya at reception, who was really polite, friendly, and just an awesome person. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed in the female dorm at Madpackers, and it was comfortable, safe, and very well maintained. I made friends with lots of other travelers and really liked the hosts. Jhanvi, the volunteer, was so welcoming and helpful. She walked me to my dorm, and even then she was open to helping with travel plans and anything else. Such a sweet soul, she brought lovely energy to my trip. ✨ Amazing experience. 🫶🌻

I paid ₹7,500 per night for a family suite at Madpackers and expected a comfortable, hassle-free stay. Instead, the experience fell well short, and the room conditions and service didn’t justify the price. The walls were visibly dirty and poorly maintained. There were no towels at check-in, and when we asked, we were told none would be available until evening, so we couldn’t freshen up after traveling. There were no toiletries, water bottle, or other basic essentials either. I was extremely disappointed.

The staff were polite, and the property is in a good location, close to major cafes. But the place is in very poor condition. We booked a private room, where paint was peeling all over, the towels were old and worn, and the bathroom smelled foul. Insects came out at night. The garden was probably the only good thing, though I feel someone else maintains it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you just want a cheap place to crash.
