NV Beach Resort

One room had a toilet flush that didn’t work, with severe drainage problems and sewage backing up. The smell was nauseating, and the room was unusable. We couldn’t upload photos, but the filth and stench were shocking. Both rooms we booked at NV Resort had been left uncleaned after the previous guests: dirty sheets and pillow covers were still on the beds, used towels remained in the bathroom, and old coffee cups hadn’t been cleared. When we confronted the owner, he was cold and careless, with no apology, accountability, or concern for guest safety. The housekeeping standards were appalling. NV Resort is poorly maintained and unhygienic, and it felt unfit for people to stay in. Calling it a resort is a joke. It’s a health hazard, with a risk of infection or illness, and that kind of mismanagement is unacceptable. I strongly warn travellers not to book here. No price, discount, or location makes those shameful conditions worthwhile. Check carefully first, because staying here cost us money and peace of mind.

That fresh air, the cool breeze, the waves, and all the greenery made the stay for me. NV Beach resort is also an easy walk from the beach, and the rooms were cozy and comfortable. I’d happily stay here again in Calangute.

We booked two rooms, and neither had been cleaned after the previous guests. Used sheets and pillow covers were still on the beds, dirty towels were in the bathroom, and used coffee cups had been left behind. When we raised it with the owner, they were dismissive and arrogant, with no apology or real effort to sort anything out. It felt like this level of dirt was normal there. One room was impossible to use. The toilet wouldn’t flush, the drain was blocked, and sewage came back up into the bathroom. The stench was so strong we couldn’t stand in there, let alone stay overnight. That’s a serious health risk. The place is neglected, filthy, and unsafe, and basic hygiene and guest safety clearly aren’t being taken seriously. It shouldn’t be listed until it meets basic sanitation standards. Don’t stay here. No discount or last-minute deal is worth risking your health, money, or peace of mind.

We had to ask for fresh sheets because the bedsheets and towels were used, and even then they didn’t give us clean ones. The rooms hadn’t been cleaned at check-in, and with housekeeping on leave, no one looked after cleaning during our stay. There was no hot water, the bathrooms were dirty, and one had a drainage leak. The owner didn’t respond to our complaints. Food portions were far too small for the price. A complete waste of money, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
