Calem Grove

Our group of 7 spent 4 Days at Calem Grove 3, one of the Calem Grove properties, booking through AirBnb. I hadn't imagined a place could be so beautiful. We contacted the owner, who gave us a Care Taker’s number, and got a quick response. Since we’d flown overnight, they also let us check in a little early. Staff were well behaved and service was prompt. The kitchen had all kind of utensils, and there was Wi-Fi, a TV, and Bose sound system. We came to Goa to chill with friends, and the dining area, with its big sofa and multiple chairs, gave us a place to sit together and have fun. One small downside, not a deal breaker: the house was cleaned on only 2 out of 4 days, so we had to wash the dishes ourselves.

The best feature was the private pool, small but very nice and well maintained. It did get slippery enough that even walking slowly felt risky, so gripping mats on the side would help. The villa suited our 3 families well: spacious rooms, comfortable beds, neat bathrooms, and a particularly nice open air bathroom. There was one bedroom downstairs and 3 upstairs, plus a VERY spacious living room beside the pool. AC worked well and the tv was fine. The kitchen was decently equipped but could use more cutlery, and the fridge was a bit small but okay. It's within 2 km of Candolim Beach, with eateries within one km, and Swiggy and Zomato deliver without problems. We booked ahead for our Goa visit and had a wonderful experience overall. They could have given us more towels, though, they were very miserly about it, don't know why. I'd recommend it to my friends.

Villa no.5 was neat and clean during our two-day stay. The chef ( Rupesh ) and care taker ( Nitish ) were both amazing at their jobs. It’s an amazing property, and I’ll definitely choose it again. Highly recommended!

This was on behalf of my American Guests. Construction work next door was very noisy and dusty, and they found the staff and security unhelpful and unprofessional. There was no supervisor, receptionist, or anyone in charge when they wanted an early check because they couldn't bear the dust and noise. Security and staff wouldn't inform the owner or anyone responsible, leaving guests unattended. Avoid this place.
