Hotel Sky Light Royal Stay

The room was spacious, and Xavier, Mario, and the chef were good. The food was tasty, which is why I’m giving this place 1 star. We stayed for 3 nights because our trip was already planned, but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. Construction on both sides meant constant noise and no privacy, and the property is far inside. The receptionist seemed uninterested, there was no gate security, and we had to go ask at reception for help with our bags. No water bottles were provided, and we were told they’d cost extra when we asked. Rooms weren’t cleaned unless we requested it. There’s no lift, hot water wasn’t available late at night, and the switches, AC, and taps were in bad condition. The rooms aren’t all the same.

The hot water failed twice during our six-day stay at Goa Villagio, Candolim, and management didn’t fix it promptly. The amenities need work. Still, the staff were polite and helpful, the pool was clean and well kept, and both breakfast and dinner were tasty with a good range of choices. A comfortable stay overall, but better maintenance would make it much better.

The staff were excellent and did their best to arrange whatever we asked for. Rooms were spacious and okay, even better than Bloom suite calingute, where we spent 2 nights at a four-star hotel. We skipped the complimentary breakfast and went out instead. It was limited, cold, too oily, and had flies all over the food. The location feels a bit tucked away because of a couple of buildings under construction, but you can get there by scooty, car, or on foot.

A lovely place for a family, near all the famous beaches. Everyone at the property was warm and welcoming. We arrived at midnight because our flight was delayed, and Mario at reception greeted us really well. Manager Ankitha was welcoming too, and breakfast was very good. We’ll definitely visit again and recommend it.
