Park Inn by Radisson Goa Candolim

The room was the weak point of our short stay. We booked a king-size room for three, but mosquitoes swarmed the balcony, so we couldn’t use it. There was just one bathroom hook for used towels and clothes, no luggage rack, and our bags had to stay on the floor. The bathroom was clean, though it had visible stains and a leak that left water gathering behind the commode and the area wet. The property was very good, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Maira at reception deserves a mention for checking on guests and going out of her way to make the stay comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and a real highlight. A small clothes stand and luggage racks in the rooms would make things much more comfortable.

The staff and service were very good, and breakfast was lovely. The chefs made egg dishes to order perfectly. The pool and restaurant areas looked great, as did the property from outside, and it’s a five-minute walk to the beach. The room was quite small for a premium queen room. We were put on the fourth floor with no lift, and my request to change rooms went nowhere. The AC barely worked, the light and fan switches were a mess with crossed connections, and shower water ran out into the bathroom. The balcony was useless, with loud AC noise and absolutely no view. For the price and a place linked with Radisson, I expected a lot more. I’m definitely not coming back.

We had a lovely stay at Park Inn. The hotel was spotless, and everyone on staff went out of their way to look after guests. It’s easy to get to the beach, restaurants, bars, and shops from there. Our room, 4103, was a good size with a comfortable king-size bed, but the balcony faced a service lane. It got noisy at times, with hotel staff coming and going from early morning. I’d have preferred a pool view. Mhaira at reception was excellent, always checking that guests were happy and cared for. Bishnu was the best room attendant we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. He kept everything spotless and well stocked, and was always cheerful. Deb the bellboy was very helpful with our luggage and showed us to the coach for the trip home. There weren’t nearly enough sunbeds for the number of guests. There were only about 22 until they brought out another 8, and virtually all had been reserved before 7:30 every morning.

The hotel was a lovely surprise. Maira and her team handled our special requests promptly, and the staff were wonderful. We were within walking distance of the beach, which was handy. The rooms were great, and breakfast was awesome.
