We stayed two nights with a group. The rest of the stay was nice, but the rooms need more attention to cleanliness, and guests need to be more sensible. We found chewing on the drawer and wall.

The service was good, and the neat, clean hut-style rooms were beautifully decorated with flowers. This place is right in the valley and would suit someone who loves nature. The one thing I’d suggest is improving the road from the main road to the property.

The view is beautiful and relaxing, and the hospitality and service were good. But the rooms are very small, there’s a kind of stink in them, and there are lots of insects, especially leeches. Getting to the location is really horrible, with a very bad road. The food was so so.

Even with unpredictable weather, we had a gala time and made wonderful memories at Room on the Roof, Chakrata. The peaceful feel and breathtaking views made it a great break from city life. Our cozy, well maintained rooms were designed beautifully to fit the natural surroundings, and the food was delicious. Dixit Ji and the staff made the stay special with their warmth and attentiveness, going above and beyond to help us feel at home. I’d happily recommend this serene retreat and hope to visit again.
