Hotel Aroma Palace

Parking can be difficult because the road is steep, with the district court right in front and bikes parked alongside it. The location is otherwise prime, right opposite Choughan in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, and Divine Lakshmi Narayan Mandir is a 5-10 minute walk away. Divya Mahajan and Sakshi manage Hotel Aroma Palace. From the owners to the staff, everyone was friendly, courteous, respectful, and polite. They shared useful information about places to visit around Chamba. The food felt just like home, with delicious home-cooked meals from breakfast through dinner. It’s a good value stay. The rooms could use a little updating. The television should be at least 32 inches instead of 14 or 21, which are hard to watch. I hope Divya and Sakshi ji renovate and upgrade the rooms a bit, because that would make an already good stay exceptionally good. 3.5 Stars out of 5.

The food was the worst I’ve had at a hotel. I left the next day even though I’d booked two nights, because the bed was so dirty I couldn’t sleep in it. There was just one waiter doing the cooking, serving, and carrying luggage. They first offered regular water, then charged when I asked for mineral water. The place felt like I was staying in someone’s home. I’d give it minus five if that were an option.

The rooms were neat and clean, and since it’s a hilly area, I think it deserves five stars. Food is made fresh rather than being ready straight away, which was fine with me. Just order a little early so it arrives on time. The owner could mention on the menu that food should be ordered half an hour ahead. I’d stay again and recommend the place.

From the window and balcony, you can see Chamba's beautiful scenery right outside. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel is exceptionally hygienic. Aroma hotel’s service was punctual and delivered with a humble attitude. If any concerns came up, the owner responded quickly and steadily and was happy to sort them out. The service is certainly up to the mark.
