Akshays Inn

The rooms could use a bit more space since they feel cramped, but they're well maintained. The location is prime, with nearby shops easy to reach, and the service was very good.

We never got to stay at Akshaya Inn, Chengalpattu, so I can't speak to the rooms. We had booked for two days but had to cancel because of circumstances we couldn't avoid. When we asked for at least half of the advance back, they wouldn't provide a refund. The management spoke to us in a loud tone and wasn't polite, which made an already upsetting situation worse. Cancellations can happen unexpectedly, and a more understanding response would have been appreciated. We left feeling very disappointed.

The bathroom was clean and fresh, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The rest of the stay was awful. Cigarette smoke filled the cramped room and made it hard to breathe all night. It felt like a dungeon, more like an air-conditioned lodge than a hotel. The interiors, cot, bedding, and linen were below par, and there were mosquitoes and ants in the room. Management should make sure guests don't smoke. At around 2500, the tariff definitely wasn't worth it.

I had a really good stay at Akshays Inn, Chengalpattu. The service was prompt, and my room was comfortable, clean, and well kept. Thanks for the hospitality! I'll recommend it to my company team and friends.
