I really don't understand the four- and five-star ratings. The atmosphere is grim and very dark, and the service is poor. The receptionist seemed to have an attitude that doesn't suit the job, and was very rude and unprofessional. If you can, leave and don't book here.

The hotel's location is its only positive. Small cockroaches and bugs were in the rooms, and you can't get any response from the staff. It's not worth mentioning otherwise. Avoid it if you're traveling with family.

I've stayed at Balaji Residency more than four times, hoping things would improve, but each visit has disappointed me. The noise from the area made it hard to sleep, and the atmosphere never felt welcoming. Rooms weren't cleaned properly and had a persistent dirty smell. The linens and towels were often stained, and hygiene was below acceptable standards. There was no hot water, and the Wi-Fi never worked on any of my stays, making it difficult to stay connected. Staff seemed indifferent, and my complaints weren't adequately addressed. I left very unhappy. I hope management takes this seriously and improves its service. Until then, I can't recommend the hotel.

The hotel is on the third floor of a dilapidated building, which felt more like a haunted house than a place to stay. That unsettling atmosphere added to an already miserable visit. The food was another concern: there isn't an on-site restaurant, and breakfast seemed to come from a street vendor, though guests are charged extra. I got food poisoning from it, so I strongly advise against booking a room with their complimentary breakfast. I arrived at 10:30 AM for a noon check-in. Instead of letting me wait in the lobby, as I've done at hotels in other cities, the front office staff rudely told me to get out and come back after 12. I felt stunned and unwelcome. With the rude service, creepy surroundings, and what I consider unsafe food practices, I can't recommend this place to anyone seeking a comfortable or safe stay.
