De Castle Inn

The breakfast at De Castle Inn was a real highlight of our two-night stay. Chef Mr. Idayachandran made delicious South Indian food, including idlis, sambar, Dosa, Chutney, Sweet, and Puri Bhaji, with generous portions. It felt like premium dining without a premium price. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials, especially impressive for an affordable stay. The staff were attentive and helped make the place welcoming. De Castle Inn offers a lot of comfort and hospitality for the cost. I’d recommend it to travelers looking for quality on a budget, and I’ll certainly return.

The approach to the hotel is very congested, and I wouldn’t come here in a personal vehicle. The rooms need better maintenance. They aren’t horrible, but could be improved. On the plus side, the staff were cordial, helpful, and keen to serve guests. With breakfast included, it’s very good value for money.

I stayed an extra night for the food alone. It was exceptional, thanks to MR. IDHAYAM AND HIS WIFE. The room, though, had plenty of issues: it wasn’t spacious, mosquitoes were around, and Airtel had no mobile signal. Construction was going on nearby, and there’s no car parking except on the street. The lift jitters and only has room for three guests. False ceiling lights blink for no reason, and the hotel provides just two flat pillows. Street dogs bark at night, and I could hear the plumbing water pipe from the bedside.

I had an excellent stay and truly enjoyed the hotel. The issue for me is that Goibibo didn’t offer a 9-hour booking option. That flexibility matters to me, so I’ve had to stop booking here despite the good experience. If the owner sees this, please consider adding it, since many competitors already offer that option. I’d love to come back if it becomes available.
