FabHotel HaHa Stays

I was meant to stay three days, but left the next morning. The third room was tolerable, though it smelled really bad, and I felt I had no choice but to stay there. The first room was crawling with cockroaches, including on the bed. The second clearly hadn’t been cleaned, with the comforter disturbed and towels left around. The bathroom was dirty too, with rust stains everywhere. For that price, I don’t think a stay could have been much worse. I’d arrived late at night already exhausted.

The location is good, but the room was a bad experience. The bathroom wasn’t clean, the AC made intermittent noise, and the fan only ran at one speed. The bed had no cushioning, and I could feel the springs while trying to sleep. I’d booked breakfast but didn’t get it.

The staff behaved very well, and breakfast was complimentary, tasty, and hygienic. The rooms were spacious and good, with attached bathrooms. There was also a cupboard, air conditioner, TV, and dressing area.

The AC was the only thing that was okay. The rooms were poorly maintained and the bathrooms below average. I booked nine nights through Cleartrip, where the place was listed as part of the fabhotel chain, for 12,089, or 1,344 per night. On arrival, they refused the online booking and told me to cancel it and pay 1,800 a night, 16,200 for the nine nights. Later I realized other people booking there were being offered rooms for 1,500. I felt badly ripped off because I don’t speak their language. They operate under different online names, including oyo townhouse haha stays and fabhotel haha stays, and also show up differently in Google searches. Disastrous experience. Better stay away. Total scammers.
