The room was spacious enough for our family of three adults and two kids, and the AC worked well. The location is nice, though a little far from the shops. We arrived at 1:30 PM, but the room should have been ready by 12 and wasn't. We had to ask for everything and wait a long time. The cot was broken and had just been covered over to hide or adjust it, and the fungus on the door hadn't been cleaned. It wasn't an ideal stay, but I made it work for our one day with the family.

Check-in was easy at FabHotel Krystal in Valasaravakkam, but the room was in terrible shape. It smelled strongly of cigarettes, the blankets and pillow covers were dirty, and cleanliness was basically zero. The mattress was filthy and I developed an allergy, likely because of it. The water heater didn't work, there was no WiFi, and the charging port was out of order too. Basic hygiene and comfort were missing. Very disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We all had to leave and find somewhere else to stay, with no solution from the hotel. I booked through Expedia, but when I arrived they claimed they had never listed rooms there. I showed them they were listed on all the sites, including Google as Fabhotel, but they flatly denied it. A couple of other people were there that same night with the same problem, trying to get rooms. The owners didn't answer their phones and left the young guy at reception to deal with us. After multiple complaints, I'm still waiting for a refund. It's pathetic that Expedia and other sites don't verify who they support.

The location had a breathtaking view, and we had a wonderful time at this lovely hotel on our recent visit. It was a very pleasurable experience.
