The rooms were suffocating, smelled awful, had no ventilation, and were full of mosquitoes. Getting anything done meant asking for service several times, and the charges were far too high: about 2500 a day for a place I wouldn't pay even 1000 for, plus 1000 for two extra hours and Rs. 20 per bottle of water. Especially avoid it if you need to be near the US Consulate. Staying here will ruin your peace of mind. There are many better options, so don't book this place.

They charged me Rs.2500 per day, while direct booking was @ Rs.1000.00 per day. Service was practically nonexistent: there were mosquitoes everywhere, towels weren't changed, and there was no soap or mineral water. The room wasn't cleaned after it was assigned, and there were only three staff members. Complaints made no difference. They wouldn't let me into the room until the full five days had been paid in advance. This was one of my worst stays, and it may stop me booking through you again.

The place is only worth considering for its walking-distance access to the US Visa Consulate. The entrance feels shady, the lobby staff were rude, and the bathrooms weren't clean. The towels were extremely dirty, too. There's no room service for food, tea, or coffee. Surely you can find better hotels nearby for the same price.

Sea Queen felt like good value for money, with well-maintained rooms and a very good location. What stood out most was how politely and respectfully the staff treated us, including my visiting friends, who weren't given any trouble. Mr. Abdul deserves a special mention for being courteous, professional, and very accommodating. I travel to Chennai often and have had problems elsewhere with unprofessional staff who don't respect guests' privacy, especially around visitors. That wasn't an issue here.
