Ginger Chennai Vadapalani

The staff were warm and generous, especially Bobita feblyn Christina raj dinesh angtong from restaurant Komal Sunita ranjit Ashutosh. They were very flexible about requests and cooperative, which made the stay easy. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, a good way to unwind after a long day. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It was a smooth, stress-free visit, and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a calm place with accommodating staff.

The staff were good and seemed willing to help, but I still had a poor stay. I booked through Agoda after seeing room photos that looked worth the price and an advertised area of 18 sq. m. In reality the rooms were so cramped that only one person could pass between the twin beds at a time. There was a bad smell, and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. At 4.5k to 5.5k a day, it just wasn’t worth it. I’ve stayed at Ginger Vadapalani, Ginger OMR, and Ginger Pondicherry as well. Of those, only Ginger OMR lived up to its mid-range, 3-star positioning. This property didn’t match it in reality. I’ve learned not to trust the pictures on Agoda or other booking sites as a guarantee of what you’re paying for.

The morning breakfast crew at the restaurant, led by Mr Nallu das, were awesome throughout our stay. Ms Sheraya, Ms Sunitha Mr Asthoush Mr Vinoth n Ms Elizabeth were especially great. Keep up the good work, and see you guys soon.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the location made getting around easy. I was here on a business trip and had a good experience overall. The rooms are compact but comfortable, the reception staff were helpful, and although the building looks a little old, it was kept clean. The complimentary breakfast is quite limited, mostly idli, dosa, and bread. I also had a luggage issue: my bags were moved to another room without telling me, and a few things went missing. Once I reported it, the staff found and returned them. Check-in and checkout can take a while. Checkout took about 15 minutes even though my cab was waiting. A decent stay with good service and a great location, though better communication and smoother processes would help.
