Hotel Southern Comfort

The only real plus is the location, about 10 minutes from the airport, though even that depends on what you need. I wouldn't stay here for more than a night, and would only book if being near the airport mattered. I had to switch rooms because the first one had bed bugs and cockroaches. There were cockroaches in the bathroom of the second room too, which I noticed on checkout morning. The bathrooms smell, and after using the towels I felt like I needed another bath. I waited in the lobby before my flight, but the furniture there was broken and dirty, and mosquitoes were everywhere. The food was average at best. I'm vegetarian, and the veg dishes had no taste. The cutlery was scratched and old. When I asked the restaurant lady for water while waiting, she didn't seem happy about it. I was here about 5-6 months ago, but only ran into these problems on my recent visit. The property could be a great hotel, but management doesn't seem interested in keeping it clean or investing in it. Either close it or run it properly.

We were charged ₹6000 for one night, but the facilities were awful. The room booked for three was so cramped it barely seemed big enough for one person. They put a mattress on the floor instead of providing a proper bed, and after that there was no room left to move around. We got only a bedsheet, no blankets. For that price, this was extremely disappointing and felt like daylight robbery. I wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant food was great, and the housekeeping staff were polite and really helpful. Reception was professional too. I stayed with family for a couple of days, and the hotel is very close to both the airport and a metro station. The rooms need brighter lighting and a proper renovation, including replacement of the bathroom fixtures. A decent choice for a short stay.

Room 103 was awful. It was next to the diesel generator, so you can imagine what that was like. The room was full of mosquitoes and had a strong kitchen smell. Reception offered no help. There wasn't a cupboard or even hangers, and the place wasn't clean. I'd say don't stay here.
