I've been there three times for three completely different kinds of parties, and it's been a great venue every time. The sunken bar and cabanas are nice places to hang out. One thing to know: there's a temple nearby, and on weekends crowds may gather on the access road. The temple staff are polite and well trained. Follow Google Maps to the beach house, and if anyone stops you, just say where you're going. They'll let you drive through.
A good hall isn't enough when getting there is so difficult. The road access and parking are inadequate, and the structure is very poor, with room for only 4 cars.
Check-in and checkout went smoothly, with the manager there both times. The property has a snooker board and some board games, and the beach is only a few steps away. There's lots of space in the living room and bedrooms, along with wide lawns and a large pool. It would be better if the pool were deeper than its current 4 ft. The geysers need attention in every room, the outhouse bathroom's water pressure needs checking, and the ACs should be serviced.
We'd planned a nice New Year get-together, but the whole thing left our spirits low. The villa itself looked good and seemed well maintained, though the management and caretaker were rude to my host and family after a small mishap caused the motor coils to burn out. Just as we were about to use the pool, the lights near the outdoor toilets went out. One relative went looking for the switch, while another wanted the waterfall feature on. In the dark, the first person missed a no-entry sign by an unlocked room near the toilets. He switched something, the motor malfunctioned, and a circuit breaker tripped. At checkout, the caretaker and manager said we had to pay 14k from our 15k deposit for repairs. After arguments, the COO of the property management company had to step in. We asked why the motor room hadn't been latched and locked, since it could be dangerous for a child. A staff member with the COO said that if anything happened, it would have been the child's responsibility. I've never met anyone so unprofessional and inhumane. I've stayed at villas around the world and haven't seen one so badly managed. I hope they take action to audit health and safety and clearly explain which areas visitors can't enter.
The bedrooms are large, clean, and well kept, and there's plenty of space for a big group, with a lawn, pool, and living room. We couldn't use the terrace because solar panel work was going on. The beach is nearby, though it was crowded on the holiday.
