Maple Inn By Oyo Rooms

It’s a beautiful house converted into a place to stay, with lovely, clean rooms and no complaints about them. The staff were extremely good and friendly. The one disappointment was Sunday morning: after staying Saturday night, we were woken by loud singing and speaking over a microphone at the nearby church’s early mass. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

Breakfast is served, and the rates are affordable. It’s about a 30 min drive from Chennai Airport, with the nearest highway less than 2 kms away. The rooms are well cleaned, and basic amenities are all there, including a water heater, T.V, and fast-free wifi. Friendly place.

We stayed for about 3 weeks, and the room smelled quite old, like an old house. The bed and sheet were old too, and the sheet had several stains. Early one morning, the hotel assistant banged on the door just to check whether we were checking out that day.

The staff were helpful, and the place is quiet, with big, clean rooms and clean washrooms. It’s down a lane, so you’ll have to walk quite a bit to get lunch or dinner. There’s no fridge in the rooms. Breakfast is fixed, just ONE dish, either idli, vada, or pongal, with Tea. No coffee, milk, or other breakfast choices, and no Tea or snacks during the day even if you’re willing to pay. That could be troublesome if you have young children. Lunch and dinner aren’t provided.
